Eyelavish - Jewels of the week

I literally just came across this line last night and knew I had to show it to you guys! Somebody hide my ATM card because there's way too many stand out pieces to choose from on the Eyelavish website.  I adore that the jewelry is reminiscent of middle eastern design. Makes me feel rather nostalgic.

Warby Parker: Fall 2015 Collection

All images ℅ Warby Parker //Sponsored post

Raise your hand if you've ever got to work and forgotten your reading glasses. That's me every Monday! - blame it on my weekend ritual of switching my purse to make my outfits pop. I've relied on the same Tiffany's pair for the last three years ( yes I knowI need to get a new prescription ASAP!) but the idea of having multiple options at my finger tips that I get to test run first - well it's a no brainer. I'm sold! Warby Parker prices start at just $95 so it's reasonable to get a pair for the office and a pair for home. You simply pick the five you want to try and they'll mail them to you to test out. I'm thinking a brunch with all my girlfriends would be a great way to showcase my picks and get the best opinions. Their Fall trends are on point and "for every pair of Warby Parker frames sold, a pair is distributed to someone in need." Which frames would you pick?

Blue and grey all day

Anthropologie shades// Phillip Lim for Target top// Zara jacket// H&M skirt// TJMaxx heels

Hola! So I was going to say Happy Hump Day and then I realized it's only Tuesday ( yes it's one of those kinds of weeks already). Blue is my favorite color so I end up incorporating it into most of my outfits - this one in particular is perfect for transitioning from Summer to Fall. Instead of pairing the skirt with a white Tee, I opted for a grey studded one and a cropped jacket draped over my shoulders - think effortless chic. This look is trendy business attire. What color do you end up wearing the most?

Black & White Mini

TJMaxx dress, Marshalls sandals, French Connection for TJMaxx purse, Dior sunglasses

The week before school started my kids had an opportunity to meet their Principle and check out their classrooms. It was a 100 degrees that night but I didn't want to show up in the same old maxi. When I bought this mini dress I had no intention of ever wearing it without leggings but the heat can make a woman do some bold things! Lol! It works because of the flowy fabric and basic accessories - anything tight and over the top would have been just too much for this setting. I would love to hear from some of the mums out there how you dress when attending school functions!

Floral Bomber

OUTFIT Details: Lucca Couture Bomber, H&M Sweater, Topshop jeans, French Connection ( TJMaxx) Bag, Heels from TJMaxx

I can't help but feel happy wearing this floral bomber. The girly print gives the classic boys club jacket a little umph! See how else I styled it here.

Layers

OUTFIT DETAILS: H&M coat, M&S cardigan, BCBG shirt, Zara dress, Target boots

It's been so cold the last few days that I can't help but wear layer upon layer. It's also fasting time for Bahai's all around the world which means the New Year ( March 21st, first day of Spring) is just around the corner! So in the spirit of Spring I'm pulling out the more colorful items in my closet and layering them with my Winter shades to help make the perfect transition.

YSL, Prada & Gucci: Jewels of the Week

Saint Laurent 'Tribute Sandal' $925
Gucci 'Canday' Leather Thong Sandal $850
Prada - Double Band Suede sandal $690

I've been gushing over the YSL tribute sandals all weekend and it hit me that for a woman our shoes can make or break our outfit, take it to the next level or make the entire evening miserable. The price tags are not very practical but it's Monday and Monday's are made for dreaming. Which one would you wear?

Frida Kahlo Inspired Jewels of the Week

Vogue Cover

Frida Kahlo pendant

Amber necklace from the Frida Kahlo collection by Eduardo Garza

amazon.com

My curiosity for the woman with the unibrow found me surfing the internet vigorously searching for answers. The more I read the more I needed to see and jumping on a plane to fly to Mexico to explore the Blue House is definitely not an option right now so I settled down with my trusty friend; Netflix. Frida Kahlo was a force to be reckoned with! Her image alone speaks volumes about her revolutionary attitude towards life. Kahlo wore statement pieces and captivating prints that would make any woman swoon. But what put me in awe was that no matter how intense her life got she somehow managed to pull through it - you can see her pain and her passion through her art. Much respect to her for bravely pouring her pain onto canvas for the rest of us to discover.
